Check out current and past exhibitions at the AAAC

Stellar arts programming is not only our passion, but our promise to South Georgia. The AAAC sponsors the arts by utilizing the Carnegie Library as an art gallery for local and regional artists. We encourage community engagement by offering opening receptions for each exhibition; the openings and exhibitions are always free and open to the public and attended monthly by upwards of 200 people. We are happy to host a diverse audience from all parts of Albany and many surrounding communities with each exhibition.

CURRENT EXHIBITION

An Unfinished Life: The Works of Femi Nilaja Anderson

An Unfinished Life celebrates Femi Nilaja Anderson’s extraordinary talent and dedication to the arts. Her works reflect her passion for capturing life’s most intimate moments and promoting cultural enrichment. The exhibition, curated by Bummi Anderson, the late artist’s twin sister, includes some of her most celebrated pieces, spanning photography, graphic design, and paintings, inviting viewers to connect with her unique artistic style and her contributions to Albany’s art landscape. Through this exhibition, we pay tribute to an artist whose influence continues to inspire and uplift.
